Where? I currently offer both face to face and online options (via zoom and skype) for psychological therapy. Since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, a lot more people have been wanting to be seen using the online session option but for those who prefer and find value in face to face appointments, I offer options for face to face appointments in central Manchester and Chorley (Lancashire), please contact me to enquire about availability of either appointment type at present. 

How often? In terms of frequency of sessions, I tend to offer an initial free 15 minute consultation to ascertain if what I offer fits with your difficulties as well it being a chance for you to consider whether you feel comfortable with me. After this initial consultation, I tend to suggest a block of 4 sessions to conduct an extensive assessment of your needs and personal context alongside your previous therapeutic input and strengths. Following this, we can review if you feel you want to continue to work with me, and if I feel I have the right tools and approaches to offer you. 

Following the assessment sessions, together we will decide a plan that works best for you and your situation. In terms of frequency, some people prefer regular weekly sessions, others find having a gap between sessions helpful and opt for fortnightly or monthly support. 

Each session with me will be 55 minutes long, which I find is usually the optimum amount of time for us to explore and process your worries, difficulties and relational situations but it also tends to be the upper limit of what people can retain and concentrate around. For couples, I can extend to 90 minutes should it feel appropriate.
